Samsung ATIV Tab - Specs

Samsung's
Ativ Tab tablet has just surfaced at IFA 2012. It features a Snapdragon S4 APQ8060A processor running at 1.5GHz, a 10.1-inch HD (1366 x 768) display, USB 2.0, uHDMI, and a microSD card slot. Samsung describes it as having "complete" Windows 8 functionality, fitting it within a very thin 9.9mm profile and a 570g weight.
It is reasonably light. Lighter than the new iPad, however the Asus Vivo Tab RT weighs in at 520g, for a similar spec device. On the front of the Samsung Ativ Tab glows an LCD display with resolution of 1366 by 768 pixels. Humming inside it is a 1.5GHz dual-core processor accompanied by 2GB of RAM. There is a pair of cameras too, with the main one being of 5 megapixels, and the one in the front is a more basic 1.9-megapixel shooter meant for video conversations. Both 32 and 64GB models will be available, and storage can be expanded further by using a microSD card. Last but not least, the tablet is equipped with a 8,200mAh battery.the Samsung Ativ Tab is only 8.9 millimeters thin, which is quite good for a 10.1-inch tablet. And since the slate has Office Home and Student 2013 RT pre-installed, featuring Microsoft's Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote, users should have no troubles getting their work done even when on the go. Other features include tap-and-send functionality using near-field communication (NFC)

So Windows 8 tablets and PC's will be booming upcoming months.
Windows 8 is due to be made available to the general public on 26 October. So far Samsung is yet to reveal pricing or availability details for the Samsung Ativ Tab but expect it to fall around this date.

Worlds first Windows Phone 8 - The Samsung ATIV S

Samsung has officially unveiled the ATIV S, the company’s first phone to run the new Windows Phone 8 operating system. Inside the crazy-thin 8.7mm brushed aluminum chassis is a huge 4.8” HD Super AMOLED display made from Corning Gorilla Glass 2 (read: tough to break, but still light)and a rundown of killer specs: 1.5Ghz dual-core processor, 1GB of onboard RAM, and an 8MP autofocus rear camera and 1.9MP front-facing camera. You’ll have the choice of two storage capacities – 16GB or 32GB – and both models have a MicroSD slot for expanded storage. Backing all of this up is a massive 2300mAh battery to keep you rocking all day.

CNET's report states that it will launch with HSPA+ 42 Mbps support, which means it is likely coming to T-Mobile first.

Final thoughts

The ATIV S is flat-out beautiful, and it has the guts to match. But what’s impressed me most about the ATIV S is Samsung’s attention to detail. To get to your Start screen, you hit a raised physical Windows button, not a capacitive one. The speaker bar on the front and the back, as well as all of the buttons, are aluminum, not plastic. And the display glass has just the slightest of rounded edges. It all adds up to a device that looks great, feels great, and performs great.

Samsung Galaxy Note II - Specs

Samsung has announced the Galaxy Note II, the new model of its phone-tablet hybrid - Phablet

Here are the specs of the device:
  • It has a 5.5" super AMOLED HD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720.
  • It packs a 1.6 GHz quad-core Exynos processor and 2 GB of RAM.
  • It'll have an 8MP rear-facing camera and a 2MP front-facing camera.
  • The battery has gotten a decent boost from 2,500 mAh in the original Note to 3,100 mAh in the Note II.
  • There will be 16, 32, and 64 GB storage options available, as well as an SD card slot for more expansion.
  • It runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

It arrives in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East in October, but there's no word on pricing or U.S. availability. Samsung says to expect it by the end of the year.

There's even new functionality arriving to the S Pen, Samsung's tablet stylus. It's been redesigned to be thicker and more ergonomic and a new feature called Air View lets users hover the stylus over an email or video to preview the file without opening it. It's only 9.4mm thin.

So Samsung Galaxy Note 2 will be released in October worldwide.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1

Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 - Review

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 is a tablet that will feature support for the Wacom-based S Pen first introduced with the 5.3-inch Galaxy Note. It's little more than a Galaxy Tab 10.1 in that regard, but it still turns out to be one of the more interesting digitized tablets on the market.
In addition, users will be able to take advantage of multi-screen functionality. This will enhance multi-tasking potential and allow users to run multiple apps in a divided display. But display's pixel density isn't good, pixel densitiy of screen is below 180ppi.

The standout feature of Samsung's latest offering is the S Pen, which opens a new dimension of functionality and creativity, thanks to Samsung's preloaded software and Android tweaks. Since the tablet was introduced at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, the Galaxy Note's specs have changed. Six months ago, Samsung said that the Note 10.1 would pack a dual-core CPU and 1GB of memory, and have internal storage of up to 64GB. For its final release, though, Samsung has bumped the Note 10.1's processor to a quad-core Samsung Exynos with 2GB of system memory, making it the first shipping tablet I've tested with that much RAM. Gone is the 64GB internal storage option; instead, the Note 10.1 comes in 16GB ($499) and 32GB ($549) versions, expandable by up to 64GB via MicroSD card.

The S Pen

Samsung's S Pen is based on a Wacom's pressure-sensitive technology. The pen felt highly responsive, with little lag and with integrated palm-rejection--a useful productivity feature that capacitive-touch styluses can't provide. In the new tablet, Samsung has significantly improved on the original Galaxy Note phone's pressure sensitivity, offering 1024 levels of sensitivity, compared with the original's 256 levels. The Galaxy Note 10.1 pen's detection distance is better, too, at 14mm versus the Galaxy Note phone pen's 8mm.

Basic specs

The screen measures in at 10.1 inches, hence the name, and has a resolution of 1280-by-800. It also has 2GB of RAM, 16 GB or 32GB of onboard storage and a microSD card slot. It has a 5 MP rear-facing and 1.9MP front-facing camera and a 1.4GHX quad-core processor. It runs Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich with a planned upgrade to Jelly Bean. It starts at $499 , and the 32-gigabyte WiFi model is $599.

Software

With the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1, Samsung offers its most tailored OS and locked-and-loaded app selection yet. Samsung ships the Note 10.1 with Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich on board. Android 4.1 Jelly Bean will come, according to Samsung, by the end of the year.

 Hardware

The tablet is light and thin, especially given its screen size. The device weighs about 1.3 pounds and has a thickness of .35 inches. That’s lighter than the iPad’s .37-inch thickness and its weight of 1.4 pounds.
Part of the difference comes in materials. Samsung tends to use more plastic in its devices to cut weight, but that decision can have unintended consequences. The most common complaint about the tablet is that it feels cheap and somewhat flimsy.

 Features:

  • 10.1-inch LCD display running at 1280 by 720
  • Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich with Samsung’s custom UI (Jelly Bean coming later this year)
  • 1.4GHz quad-core Samsung Exynos processor
  • 2GB of RAM
  • 16 or 32GB of internal storage, accepts microSD cards as large as 64GB
  • 5MP rear camera, 1.9MP front-facing camera
  • Wi-Fi only
  • MSRP: $499 for the 16GB model, $549 for the 32GB model, available on August 16

Pros:

  • The S-Pen is a joy to use on a big screen
  • Strong spec sheet means great performance
  • Split-screen multitasking!

Cons:

  • Build quality doesn’t inspire confidence
  • The cameras are underwhelming
  • Samsung’s UI can be a bit overbearing

Nokia 808 PureView

                    Nokia 808 PureView review

The Nokia 808 PureView is the best cameraphone ever made. It is the true successor of Nokia N8. It is breaking new ground with its 41 Megapixel camera. It i is captivating because of one feature, and one feature alone: the on-board 41-megapixel camera. Most highest-end smartphones, including Apple’s iPhone 4s, Samsung’s Galaxy S3, and HTC’s One x, have 8-megapixel cameras. Compared to those cameras, a 41-megapixel camera sensor seems totally over-the-top and unnecessary. But what Nokia has developed with its homegrown PureView imaging technology is, by far, the best camera I’ve seen on a smartphone. It’s actually a pretty terrible phone with an outstanding camera. You should only consider buying the 808 PureView if you really love mobile phone photography. Another advantage is lossless zoom, because you are coming from a 41 MP sensor, there is no need of the useless digital zoom that ruins pictures without fail. The supersized 41-megapixel sensor, Carl Zeiss optics, a Xenon flash, and the phone’s loudspeaker

Nokia’s PureView camera technology has been in the works for over 5 years, which is plain to see in the 808 handset’s design. Whereas a 13.9mm thick phone may have been considered slim in 2007, that profile is decidedly plump by modern standards, leading Nokia to taper off everything that doesn’t need it and resulting in the abnormally shaped device you see before you. There’s a 4-inch AMOLED display, sat behind a Gorilla Glass screen. It’s only a 640×360 pixel screen, so if you’re used to an iPhone’s Retina display, you’ll be sorely disappointed. It’s an unfortunate drawback considering the device is centered around digital imaging. The 4-inch AMOLED display on the 808 is of the non-Pentile variety and doesn’t suffer from the same blue tinging when viewed from the side as you’ll find on Samsung panels.

The camera button and the volume rocker that sits above it are easy to find and operate. The 808 PureView is no shining example of industrial design. With its giant camera protruding awkwardly from the back of the shell.
As with the rest of the 808 PureView hardware design, it works smoothly and cleanly. Micro sim, Micro SD, Micro USB,Micro HDMI packed.

CAMERA

The Pureview offers 3, 5, 8 and 38 megapixel shooting options the highest resolution photo you can take is a 38-megapixel photo at 4:3 aspect ratio in full-resolution sensor mode. The way the PureView technology works is that it uses pixel oversampling, essentially packing up to seven pixels worth of data into one pixel area. The results? Sharp, clear images with little to no noise. Video comes in at 1080p and is as excellent as the peerless, noise-free pictures. There’s even an excellent microphone, which Nokia calls Rich Recording.

Now here is the super quality of 808 PureView Camera

Disadvantages

1)
Low-res display

2)
Symbian Belle is far behind from Android and iOS.

3) Relatively limited 3rd party software availability.

4) Bulky

Biggest advantage is that it is the best camera phone with best camera on the planet.

How safe are you while surfing on internet ?

Browsing Through Cyberspace

What you're giving out

Browser and operating system details, browsing patterns, IP address, websites visited, links clicked and more.

How to stay safe

We know it's a pain but try and read privacy policies of the sites you frequent.
Use the latest version of your browser to ensure maximum protection against online threats.

Avoid free WI-FI and make sure you're on a secure internet connection.

All browsers today have an 'incognito' or a 'private browsing' mode where none of your history, searches, cookies or temporary internet files are stored on your computer.
Disable scripts in your browser. Most sites run scripts without your knowledge to collect your browsing habits and other information.

Networking With Friends

What you're giving out

Everything from your date to birth to what you did a moment ago, location, articles you read, time spent playing social games, purchase made, e-mail addresses, phone number and more.

How to stay safe

Get off Facebook. No, seriously.

If you're an insufferable addict, dig through your privacy setting (good luck figuring those out)and make sure you are not inadvertently revealing personal information like your birth date, email address and phone number on your profile.

Make sure you read understand permissions of the apps on Facebook you use. Most of them require everything from access to your profile to posting to your Wall on your behalf.
Stay away from strangers and accept friend requests just from people you know.

Going on internet Shopping Spree

What you're giving out

Stick to established sites.

Review user feedback. If a site seems shady, Google it and see what others are saying about it. You would be surprised at the insights you can get.

Read privacy policies to see if the site shares your personal data with any third party.
Many banks provide virtual credit cards that have limited validity. Use them for all online transactions. Keep the plastic for the real world.

Connecting On The Go

What you're giving out

Your precise location and pretty much all the content of your phone including contacts, SMS messages, call records, email and browser history depending on the apps you use

How to stay safe

Review the apps you have installed and understand background information they collect. Most smartphone operating systems require apps to tell you this information when you install them.

Install only known apps from well known vendors. Angry birds is OK. Hot XXX Babe live! is probably not (though you never know).

Use an anti-theft app like lookout Mobile security to remotely purge your data if you lose your phone.

WORRIED? YOU SHOULD BE

You are sitting on your laptop propped on your knees, and browsing your favorite websites. Watching your every click are hundreds pf prying eyes on the internet. If that itself doesn't creep you out, here's what can happen to your private data when these snoopers get grubby little fingers on it:

Your personal - everything from your browsing habits to your date of birth and phone number can be collected and used buld a chillingly accurate profile of you bit by digital bit. This information can be sold off to tracking agents you have never heard of.

Even if you don't care too much about being served targeted advertisements on the internet, remember that all your data is sitting on servers around the world, often with questionable security. If a cyber criminal hacks into these servers, your personal information could be up for sale onthe digital black market.

Governments could potentially use online attributions for surveillance.

NOW WHAT CAN YOU DO TO TRACK THE TRACKERS

Want to know exactly who's tracking you online? Download COLLUSION, an add-on for your browser (it is available for google chrome and mozilla firefox). Sit back, start browsing and let your blood run cold. What happened to us in a typical 10-minute browsing session. I was tracked by multiple trackers from IMDB.COM to watch the trailer to the advertisers, amazon, doubleclick.net, scorecardreasearch.com(it tracks 2 million people).
And from many other from different sites.

Big Trouble - DNSChanger: How to find it and how to fix it

Next Monday hundreds of thousands of people could lose Internet access, if their computers are infected with malicious software from 2007.
The warnings about the Internet problem have been splashed across Facebook and Google. Internet service providers have sent notices, and the FBI set up a special website.
But people around the world may still lose their Internet service unless they do a quick check of their computers for malware that could have taken over their machines more than a year ago.
Users whose computers are still infected Monday will lose their ability to go online, and they will have to call their service providers for help deleting the malware and reconnecting to the Internet.
The problem began when international hackers ran an online advertising scam to take control of more than 570,000 infected computers around the world. When the FBI went in to take down the hackers late last year, agents realized that if they turned off the malicious servers being used to control the computers, all the victims would lose their Internet service.
In a highly unusual move, the FBI set up a safety net. They brought in a private company to install two clean Internet servers to take over for the malicious servers so that people would not suddenly lose their Internet.
But that temporary system will be shut down at 12:01 a.m. EDT Monday (0401 GMT), July 9.
The FBI released this statement in March to clarify why the servers were going down:
"To assist victims affected by the DNSChanger malicious software, the FBI obtained a court order authorizing the Internet Systems Consortium (ISC) to deploy and maintain temporary clean DNS servers. This solution is temporary, providing additional time for victims to clean affected computers and restore their normal DNS settings. The clean DNS servers will be turned off on July 9, 2012, and computers still impacted by DNSChanger may lose Internet connectivity at that time."
Most victims don't even know their computers have been infected, although the malicious software probably has slowed their Web surfing and disabled their antivirus software, making their machines more vulnerable to other problems.

What can you do now?

To finding out whether you’re infected is a simple matter of visiting a checking site. Go to dns-ok.us in your browser, and if the background is green then your computer’s DNS settings are good. If it’s red, however, then you will need to go through some clean-up steps.
There’s a list of tools here, each of which should get your computer up and running properly again. Microsoft has one such tool, as do the main anti-virus vendors such as McAfee and Norton. It’s a good idea to do a backup of files and personal data beforehand, just in case, but the process should – now that the workings of DNSChanger are broadly understood – be simple.

New Microsoft tablet - Surface

Surface

Yes the software giant's first tablet - Microsoft surface.

The upcoming booming tablet from Microsoft surface going to hit market in coming months.this tablet is designed and marketed by Microsoft.Taking on the ipad! many have tried, almost all have failed. But now there's a new sheriff in town and it seems this one wants to take no prisoners. on the 'surface', it seems that this is an all-new Microsoft that is ready to break free  from old conventions and blaze an all new path. It's announced the Microsoft surface tablet (in fact two versions, but more on that later) and rather than rely on hardware partners, Microsoft wants to do it all with its own branded device. This isn't the Microsoft we know -the safe player ,the Microsoft -only giant, the OEM Dominatrix and the make money from each licence expert. This is the Microsoft that is willing to break from history and forge a new path. And seems to have just one thing as its target: to unseat the very dominant Apple ipad.

Difference from other competitors

This is a pretty sweet device that seems to incorporate all the critical a well as most dream features  . First, the really amazing stuff. A very thin, very nice looking, brightly colored smart cover with a built in 3-mm pressure sensitive keyboard that is actually usable. Then There's the incredibly well thought kick stand that merges right back into the body of the device. Another is the digital ink stylus - it's magnetic and kicks to the side, eliminating the chance to losing it. Add  to this a very thin and light form factor, a fast processor, MicroSD, USB 2.0, MicroHD  video connecters, front and rear HD cameras, up to 128 GB storage, 10.6 inch HD screen and the fact that there will be two versions. The Surface will be available in two versions, "Surface" and "Surface Pro". "Surface" will run the Windows RT Operating System and use an ARM CPU. "Surface Pro" will run the Windows 8 Pro operating system and use an Intel CPU.

Microsoft is back now. With it's surface technology they are gonna write a new chapter.

Top and best antivirus in India

Bitdefender - It beats all Viruses and 'Antiviruses'

Bitdefender security suite can protect you and your PC from all angles. Some security software is diligent at keeping your front door locked (the most common way for malware to enter) but leave the back door wide open. Bitdefender Total Security ensures all possible entry points are blocked. It can protect you from malware attempting to access your PC via email, web links, USB drives, social media sites, chat conversations, your network, Trojans and more. It includes specific apps for scanning links your friends post on Facebook and Twitter and will prevent you from sharing bad links.

Without proof, marketing claims are nothing more than an exercise in creative writing. Bitdefender has the numbers to back up their marketing efforts. They consistently test well and are reported as one of the best security suites by numerous reviewers and testing labs. In the most recent AV-Test scores for September/October 2011 Bitdefender scored higher overall than all competitors. They earned an elusive 6 of 6 in protection in the July/August 2011 AV-Test. In the July 2011 AV-Comparatives "Whole Product Real-World Dynamic Test," they awarded Bitdefender their highest certification of Advanced+ and gave them a protection rate of 99.1%. In the past two years, they have passed nine of ten VB100 tests as well.

Though this security company has not been around since the '80s, like some of their competitors, they have still proved to be quite innovative, especially in terms of combating unknown or zero-day threats. They were one of the first to implement technology that analyzed the behavior of applications to determine if they were potential threats regardless of whether the threat was previously identified or not. They introduced behavioral applications blocking in 1999. This reduced the dependency on virus signatures alone to combat malware. They initiated hourly software updates in 2005 and in 2009 began to deploy a technology called Active Virus Control that watches applications as they execute and the entire time they run to monitor suspicious behavior. These technologies combined with a continually updated virus database make Bitdefender one of the most effective and dynamic security solutions available. Bitdefender has all the standard features an internet security suite should include, such as customized scanning, parental controls, a search advisor and laptop settings. To be able to provide full scans without interruption it has a feature called the Scan Dispatcher. This will watch your system and only run full scans when your computer resources are in low use or idle. The parental control tools can create unique profiles that filter which websites your kids can visit and how long they can be online. These tools can be remotely managed so you can edit your kids' profiles while you are away, such as adding more computer time for your teen while you are at work. For safe surfing, Bitdefender has a search advisor that works with Google and Bing. The advisor will warn you if a website is suspicious and provide webpage reports.

The Autopilot - NO it's not for airplane or car mode

Bitdefender Total Security includes what they call autopilot. If you turn autopilot on you don't have to configure anything. You will not see security pop-ups, and most importantly, you don't have to worry about your security or privacy. Autopilot will make the optimum security choices for you, automatically quarantine dangerous files and block malware. On the other hand, if you want to fine-tune how the security software reacts you can take it off autopilot and configure the software based on your preferences.
Summary
I continue to be impressed with Bitdefender. I Recommend it to our readers because I are confident that it is more capable of detecting and removing malware than any other security product, which is a bold statement. However, they continually prove to us through our experiences and independent test labs that they aim to be the world leader in internet security. Viorel Canja, head of Bitdefender labs, put forth this clear assertion: "We are confident that we have the best products in the world." I have no reason to doubt him. Bitdefender Total Security includes market-leading antivirus technology incorporated into a practical, proficient suite. With this software constantly on guard, you really can set it, forget it and confidently travel the world wide web worry-free. You can download the trial here.

Electronic Paper Screen

Hey everyone....did you see the Harry potter of course yes a child in mother's womb also heard of it and eager to come out and watch. So in Harry potter first thing that we notice unique and amazed by it was the  wizarding and unbelievable newspaper called  "daily prophet". The moving pictures and the characters talking an imaginary screen but a newspaper how awesome is that...but this movie thing is gonna come true upcoming future. It will update news itself like cloud stuff going on now which updates cloud based devices. This electronic paper will use flexible screen to fold like a newspaper. The scientist are working on it and will come in the next years. Nano technology  will give it more rise. Full video integration is the obvious next step, and as tablet prices fall, it’s likely newspapers will soon be fully eradicated from their current form.  Deforestation will decrease.

It will be a huge step forward in communication as well as to save the environment.

New and Upcoming Technologies

Hey Next Big technology coming..The memristor, it is a microscopic component. it has an ability to remember electrical states even when turned off. it will be faster than flash storage and also cheaper. A theoretical concept since 1971, it has now been built in labs and is already starting to revolutionize everything we know about computing, possibly making flash memory, RAM, and even hard drives obsolete within a decade.
The memristor is just one of the incredible technological advances sending shock waves through the world of computing. Other innovations in the works are more down-to-earth, but they also carry watershed significance. From the technologies that finally make paperless offices a reality to those that deliver wireless power, these advances should make your humble PC a far different beast come the turn of the decade.
